r.downstairs aka Rik Vinegar is slowly but surely becoming a core part of today’s west coast house scene. Notorious for sneaking in bits of post punk, electro, and leftfield oddities amongst his favorite slick late 90s tech house records, predictable selections are not really his bag. Currently based in Santa Cruz, CA, r.downstairs heads Tide Swing along with residents Daizz, Laith & Wyllie. Now 4 years in the making, tide swing (& r.dstairs) maintain a strong focus on carrying on the west coast underground legacy, while still keeping eyes on the cutting edge future of rave.
